Ford Launched the Sport Model of the Everest the famous 7 seater and Recently got a chance to spend some time with the New SUV based on the Based on the XLT, under the bonnet it’s The turbocharged 2.0-litre engine which delivers 132kW and 420Nm, using a 10-speed automatic transmission.

 

What’s New

 

Ford has given its 7-seater Everest an update with the aim of enhancing its looks and making it look sportier.

 

Looking at it , you will see the big bold mesh grille and unique Everest badge on the bonnet, coming closer you will see the black mirror caps and door handles, which replace the old chrome-look accessory fitted to the standard Everest. The black front bumper give it a more sportier look instead of the silver one on the normal Everest , the Sport will be easier to notice because it’s come with ebony roof rails, special Sport decals on the rear doors Fitted with the 20″ Black Alloy Wheels

You can get Everest sport in six different colours, Diffused silver, frozen white, agate black, Moondust Silver, sea Grey and Cooper red. Customers can either choose 4X4 or 4X2 Model

 

Getting inside the Everest Sport(Interior)

The Everest sport get leather seats with some blue stitching on them and embossed Sport on them, there’s also blue stitch on the steering wheel and soft leather on the dashboard, Push start button, rear view camera, on screen display cruise control with adjustable speed limiter, dual zone electronic automatic temperature control, four 12volts power points in the SUV, there’s a SYNC 3 infotainment system that’s I found to be friendly and easy to use, it comes with great connectivity and multimedia features such as voice control, embedded Navigation system, 2 USB ports ,Bluetooth connectivity, Radio, CD and MP3 compatible they are 10 speakers in the Everest Sport.

 

Safety

The Everest sport has 7 airbags: dual front airbags, curtain airbags, driver knee airbags,child proof door locks, ISOFIX child seat anchorage points, Electric stability Programme with traction control, trail sway control, curve control, hill launch and Roll over mitigation.

 

The Drive

The Everest sport is comfortable to drive one of the Few in the SUV Segment that’s is so comfortable and that is something that the competitors struggle with, I took it on the off road and the 20″ wheels are not just there tk make the SUV look nice, performed well, the sport gave me an amazing experience with minimal noise coming from the diesel engine, it performed well with the power it produced, Ford claimed that the Everest Sport Fuel consumption is 7.1L/100 KM, I got an average of 8.4 L/100 km of which is not bad for a big vehicle
