The Fuel Industry Association of South Africa has urged motorists not to overfill or stockpile fuel, warning that panic buying could disrupt supply stability.

The organisation says sudden changes in consumer behaviour may negatively impact fuel availability, especially as concerns grow over potential shortages linked to the ongoing Middle East conflict.

Spokesperson Avhapfani Tshifularo has called on South Africans to remain calm, stressing that the situation should be managed collectively to avoid unnecessary pressure on the fuel supply system.
