Nathaniel Julies, a teenager who had Down syndrome was shot dead in Eldorado Park in August by South African Police officers. He was 16 years old.

One officer, Voster Netshiongolo is charged with hiding evidence and thereby defeating the ends of justice. He told the court that he had been suspended from the Eldorado Park police station and would, therefore, not tamper with evidence whilst Ndyalvane and Whiteboy face charges of murder and discharging of a firearm in a public place among other charges.
