MIDRAND – The Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL) hosted the 11th annual Vita Basadi Awards on Saturday, 5 September 2026, at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. The awards celebrated Gauteng women for their courage, leadership, creativity and contributions to their communities.
Nominated by the public, outstanding women were recognised across various categories. The Speaker of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature, Morakane Mosupyoe, also presented the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Speaker’s Special Award.
