GAUTENG – The Gauteng Provincial Government is urging residents and road users to prioritise safety ahead of Heritage Day on Thursday, 24 September, as increased traffic and public activity are expected. Motorists are reminded to obey traffic laws, avoid distractions and never drive under the influence of alcohol.
Residents are also urged to celebrate responsibly, protect children and vulnerable people, and report any violence or criminal activity. Gauteng Traffic Police will conduct safety operations across the province during the holiday.
