SHARPEVILLE. – A Sedibeng police officer has confirmed that a Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF)-related case has been opened against a Sharpeville man who was arrested yesterday after police dug up a body of a female who has been reported missing, alleged to be his girlfriend at his residence backyard.

Gauteng Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo is yet to issue a statement concerning the man’s arrest, “We’re still verifying some facts and will issue a statement as soon as possible.”
