BOKSBURG- South Africa’s ongoing water challenges have been elevated to the highest level of government through the National Water Crisis Committee (NWCC), chaired by President Cyril Ramaphosa. The initiative aims to coordinate urgent interventions to address worsening water supply disruptions and infrastructure failures across the country.
The issue is expected to take centre stage at the President’s Coordinating Council (PCC) meeting scheduled for 30 April 2026 at the Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre in Gauteng. The meeting will focus on strengthening cooperation between national, provincial, and local government to improve water service delivery and ensure long-term water security.
