GAUTENG- Residents in Sharpeville, Bedworthpark, Vanderbijlpark, Boipatong, Bophelong, Tshepiso, Powerville Park and surrounding areas are expected to experience water supply disruptions due to planned maintenance by Rand Water. The maintenance will take place from Friday, 29 May 2026 until Sunday, 31 May 2026, resulting in a 50-hour shutdown aimed at improving the reliability and efficiency of the water system.
Emfuleni Local Municipality says some areas may face low water pressure or complete water outages during the maintenance period. Water tankers will be deployed to affected communities, while residents who continue to receive water are urged to use it sparingly to help prevent a total outage. Regular updates and a tanker schedule will be communicated throughout the maintenance period.
