Washington – The united states has denied pressuring france to withdraw south africa’s invitation to the G7 summit. France said the decision to invite kenya instead was a strategic choice and not influenced by outside pressure.
France cited kenya’s role as host of the africa-france summit in may in nairobi and emphasized that south africa remains an important partner in global diplomacy.
G7 foreign ministers meeting near Paris are also focusing on resolving differences with the united states over the ongoing middle east war, as europe faces risks due to its reliance on oil and gas imports through the strait of Hormuz.
