JOHANNESBURG- Three business owners were shot inside a popular fast food outlet in the Johannesburg inner city on Monday morning. The incident took place in Ward 59, an area where local authorities say violent crime has become increasingly frequent, with regular shootings reported in the precinct.

Local councillor Sthembiso Hlatshwayo expressed concern over the escalating violence, saying that multiple shootings have occurred in the same street within hours. He has called for urgent intervention from law enforcement agencies, warning that both residents and businesses are living in constant fear due to rising gun violence.
