Claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Morocco’s in the first leg of the CAF Champions League final on Sunday. Left back Aubrey Modiba scored the only goal of the match with a superb free kick just before halftime.
Sundowns created several more scoring chances in the second half, but Colombian striker Brayan Leon failed to convert. The match was also delayed for 20 minutes after halftime because of technical problems with the VAR system, forcing officials to continue without it. The return leg will be played next Sunday in Rabat.
