Musician Lehlogonolo “Shebe Maburna” Chauke appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo for a new bail application, where a medical doctor testified on his behalf. Dr Malose Chaba told the court that he had previously treated Chauke for head injuries sustained in a car accident in July two years ago and was expected to continue consultations before the musician’s arrest in November last year.
Chaba further described Chauke’s condition, saying he had limited mobility in his right shoulder and was also affected psychologically, including difficulty sleeping and emotional distress linked to the loss of his daughter. Chauke has been in custody since November and is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, with his trial scheduled for mid-May.
