The Sedibeng District Municipality has warned residents about a false poster circulating on social media claiming that RDP houses in Savannah City are for sale. The municipality clarified that it is not involved in any sale of RDP or government-subsidised houses and urged the public to ignore the misleading information.
It further explained that, according to South African law, housing delivery is managed through government programmes under the Housing Act of 1997 and the National Housing Code. These programmes provide houses to qualifying beneficiaries rather than selling them as commercial property.
