The South African Local Government Association and The African Climate Foundation will launch a Local Climate Action Planning support project aimed at improving climate response in 35 district municipalities across South Africa.
The project will assist municipalities in reviewing and implementing Climate Action Plans in line with national climate laws, Integrated Development Plans (IDPs), and the Just Energy Transition. It focuses on moving from planning to practical implementation of climate actions at local government level.
