VANDERBIJLPARK – The Emfuleni Local Municipality has clarified that the court proceedings involving the murder of municipal employee Martha Mani Rantsofu are not related to the alleged R16 million fleet tender irregularities. The municipality stressed that claims linking Rantsofu’s death to whistleblowing allegations are false and misleading.
The municipality said the matter before court concerns the murder of a colleague, as well as allegations of fraud and corruption. Officials have urged the public and media to avoid spreading misinformation and to allow the legal process to continue without interference. The municipality added that anyone found guilty must face the full consequences of the law.
