PRETORIA – President Cyril Ramaphosa says South Africa cannot address migration challenges on its own and has called for greater cooperation with other African countries. Speaking during a national address on Sunday night, he stressed the need for a coordinated continental response to migration issues.
Ramaphosa said South Africa will strengthen its immigration laws and policies while also working with regional and international partners. He announced that envoys will be sent to several African countries to discuss the new measures and develop long-term solutions through cooperation with fellow nations.
