CAPE TOWN- President Cyril Ramaphosa has positioned Africa as a leading destination for infrastructure investment and long-term economic growth during the Infrastructure Investment Conference in Cape Town. He told delegates that global competition for investment is intensifying, especially among emerging markets, with investors focusing on policy certainty, stable institutions, and large-scale opportunities. Ramaphosa said Africa’s infrastructure gap creates a major opportunity to unlock economic growth and drive transformation across the continent.

The president also said the South African economy is showing signs of recovery following years of economic pressure. He highlighted stabilising inflation, improved fiscal management, and growing investor confidence as positive indicators. Ramaphosa added that government reforms are helping restore momentum in key sectors and strengthening the country’s economic outlook.
