South Africa’s Women’s cricket team, the Proteas, will aim to secure a series win against New Zealand in the second ODI at Wellington’s Basin Reserve on Wednesday. They currently lead the three-match series 1-0 after a thrilling two-wicket victory in the opening game in Christchurch on Sunday.
Debutant Kayla Reyneke starred in the win, scoring an unbeaten 42 runs, including a six off the final ball to seal the match. All-rounder Sune Luus highlighted the team’s focus on building momentum after their performance, following a 4-1 defeat in the preceding T20 series.
