Pope Leo has called on world leaders to end the “madness of war,” making a strong appeal for peace. His message came as officials from the United States and Iran met in Pakistan to discuss ending the six-week conflict.
Speaking at St. Peter’s Basilica, he criticised the use of religion to justify violence and warned about growing global tensions. He urged leaders to move away from war and focus on dialogue and mediation.
The pope also highlighted the suffering caused by conflict, especially among children. He shared that letters from young people in war zones describe fear and inhuman conditions, reinforcing his call for urgent peace.
