The owner of a pitbull that fatally attacked eight-year-old Olebogeng Mosime in November 2022 is expected to be sentenced at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court. Keabetswe Moroane was convicted of culpable homicide after the court found she failed to properly secure the dog that carried out the attack.
The victim’s grandmother, Siphiwe Litabe, described the legal process as long and painful for the family, saying the case had dragged on for years. She expressed hope that sentencing would bring closure and justice, allowing the family to find peace after their loss.
