Fuel prices will change from Wednesday, with petrol becoming cheaper while diesel becomes more expensive. The price of both 93 and 95 octane petrol will decrease by 52 cents per litre, while diesel will increase by between R1.23 and R1.38 per litre.
The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources says the changes are due to higher international diesel prices, a weaker rand, and geopolitical tensions affecting global oil markets. The new fuel prices take effect on 5 August.
