BOKSBURG- President’s Coordinating Council (PCC) will meet on 30 April 2026 at 10:00 am at the Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre in Gauteng to focus on strengthening South Africa’s water and sanitation services. The meeting will highlight government efforts to improve infrastructure reliability and long-term water security.
Government has committed over R156 billion over the next three years for water and sanitation programmes, including a R54 billion grant under the Metro Trading Services Reform to support metros in upgrading water, sanitation and electricity services. Funds and revenue from water usage will be reinvested into maintaining and upgrading key infrastructure such as pipes, reservoirs and pumping stations to improve service delivery.
