VAALBANK – A 36-year-old Mpumalanga woman, Lebogang Phetla, was allegedly shot and killed in Vaalbank on Saturday evening by an off-duty security guard following a domestic dispute. The incident reportedly escalated into a hail of bullets while her four children witnessed the attack.
The accused, Sello Seletja, now faces murder and attempted murder charges after also injuring a 34-year-old man. The victim’s family says they are devastated, with her brother describing a heartbreaking scene where the children were left traumatised and crying after witnessing their mother’s death.
