MEXICO – Morocco came from behind twice to defeat Haiti 4-2 in an entertaining World Cup Group C match in Atlanta. Haiti shocked their opponents by taking the lead through a Yassine Bounou own goal and later a superb strike from Wilson Isidor, but goals from Achraf Hakimi and Ismael Saibari ensured the sides were level at halftime.
In the second half, Soufiane Rahimi scored the decisive goal before Gessime Yassine sealed the victory for Morocco. Despite the win, Morocco finished second in Group C behind Brazil on goal difference. Haiti exited the tournament without a point, but earned praise after scoring their first World Cup goals since 1974 and producing spirited performances throughout the competition.
