The Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is hosting a Food and Nutrition Security Strategy Symposium on Wednesday, 25 March 2026. The event aims to address food insecurity that affects one in four households in Gauteng by shaping a five‑year provincial strategy to improve food access, boost local production, and build resilient food systems.
The symposium will bring together government, civil society, business, and development partners for high‑level inputs and working sessions to draft a strategy and set up a multi‑sectoral task team. It runs from 09h00 to 16h00 at The Garden Venue, 308 Boundary Rd, North Riding AH, Randburg.
