Anele Mdoda has made entertainment headlines after a former domestic worker, Thuleleni Florence Mlalazi, reportedly took her dispute to the CCMA over claims of unfair dismissal and related employment disagreements. The matter, which has attracted public attention due to Mdoda’s celebrity status, was eventually settled with Mdoda agreeing to pay R90,000, including an initial R20,000 payment and the balance in instalments.

The dispute reportedly stems from workplace tensions involving dismissal allegations linked to a missed childcare errand and a controversial vehicle arrangement during employment. While Mlalazi accuses Mdoda of unfair treatment and issues around the car being registered in Mdoda’s name without consent, Mdoda has strongly denied wrongdoing, alleging misconduct by her former employee, including theft and threats, and maintaining that the dismissal was justified.
