Deputy President Paul Mashatile has dismissed claims that he met or planned to meet Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, following allegations made at the Madlanga Commission. The claims were raised by Fannie Nkosi during testimony, suggesting there had been an interaction or intended meeting between Mashatile and Matlala.
Mashatile has strongly denied the allegations, stating he does not know Matlala or any individuals mentioned and has never had any dealings with them. He also noted that he was out of the country at the time the alleged meeting was said to have occurred, and reaffirmed his willingness to fully cooperate with the commission if required.
