Deputy President Paul Mashatile will attend a Good Friday service at the Amandla Ngawethu Universal Church on Friday morning. The service is set to take place at Ellis Park Stadium, where he is expected to join congregants for the religious observance.
Mashatile will be accompanied by Panyaza Lesufi, Faith Mazibuko and other senior officials. According to acting spokesperson Keith Khoza, the Deputy President has been tasked with leading government engagement with interfaith communities to promote social cohesion and nation-building.
