Higher Education and Training Minister Buti Manamela has outlined the purpose of launching a Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) laboratory at Gert Sibande TVET College, alongside conducting an oversight visit to assess the institution’s readiness for 4IR. The initiative forms part of efforts to modernise the college’s infrastructure and align it with evolving technological demands.
The event is focused on enhancing digital skills training, strengthening technical and vocational education, and evaluating the implementation of 4IR programmes. It aims to ensure that students are equipped with relevant skills to meet the needs of a rapidly changing, technology-driven job market.
