OLD TRAFFORD- Manchester United secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Liverpool at Old Trafford, with Kobbie Mainoo scoring a decisive late goal to boost their chances of returning to the UEFA Champions League. United started strongly, taking a 2-0 lead through early goals from Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko, putting Liverpool under immediate pressure.

Liverpool fought back in the second half, with Dominik Szoboszlai and Cody Gakpo capitalising on costly United errors to level the score. However, Mainoo’s 77th-minute strike from the edge of the box sealed the win, lifting United to third place on 64 points. Liverpool remain fourth on 58 points, level with Aston Villa, and still face a tough battle to secure Champions League qualification.
