PRETORIA- The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has dismissed an application by suspended Tshwane Metro Police Department official Tshukudu Malatji to postpone his hearing. Malatji faces allegations including security tender corruption, failure to declare business interests, and wasteful expenditure.
His legal representative, Sibusiso Nkosi, argued that the defence was not ready because key documents were only provided late on Wednesday night, leaving insufficient time for proper preparation. Despite these claims, the commission proceeded with the matter, indicating that the timing of document disclosure did not justify delaying the proceedings.
