A 54-year-old pastor is expected to apply for bail at the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo after being arrested in January for allegedly raping two minors. He cannot be named to protect the identities of the children. The accused is also facing an additional charge of sexually assaulting another minor, with proceedings underway in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court.
In the Seshego case, the court heard that the pastor allegedly abused an 11-year-old girl who lived with him between 2023 and 2025, reportedly touching her inappropriately. Investigating officer Ishmael Matjeka is opposing bail, arguing that the accused is a flight risk due to having another church branch in Botswana.
