GAUTENG – Panyaza Lesufi has expressed support for protests against illegal immigration but stressed that demonstrators must operate within the law. His comments come amid growing tensions over undocumented migrants in South Africa.
Meanwhile, Acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia is expected to meet with provincial premiers to discuss security operations. Gauteng officials are also set to receive a briefing on measures to ensure planned protests remain peaceful, as some groups have given undocumented migrants until 30 June to leave the country.
