Minister of Justice, Mmamoloko Kubayi, has condemned the fatal shooting of a lawyer in the Johannesburg CBD. The victim, linked to Sibanye-Stillwater, was killed near the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration offices while reportedly handling a labour dispute. Police are investigating, and no arrests have been made.

Kubayi said violence undermines the rule of law and urged people to resolve disputes through legal channels. She called for swift justice and extended condolences to the victim’s family and colleagues.
