JOHANNESBURG – Johannesburg residents have been advised to prepare for a planned 12-hour water shutdown by Rand Water on 17 July, from 7am to 7pm. The maintenance may result in low water pressure or no water in several areas, including Sandton, Midrand, Randburg, Roodepoort, Soweto and Lenasia.
Johannesburg Water says water supply may not return immediately after the maintenance, as some systems could take several days to recover. Residents are encouraged to store enough water before the shutdown and use it sparingly while the system stabilises.
