The Gauteng Provincial Treasury has announced the appointment of Ms. Makatisha Reeva Mphulwane as its new spokesperson, effective 04 May 2026. The appointment, made by MEC of Finance Nkululeko Dunga, is aimed at strengthening clear, integrity-driven and people-centred communication within the province’s financial governance structures.
Ms. Mphulwane holds a BA in Communication from the University of Limpopo and is currently completing an MBA at Henley Business School (South Africa). She brings experience from both the public and private sectors, including roles as a Caucus Researcher and involvement in oversight committees. The Treasury says her appointment will enhance stakeholder engagement and improve the delivery of government messaging across communities.
