The Gauteng Department of Health has warned patients and officials against bribery and queue-jumping at public healthcare facilities. This follows complaints that some patients are allegedly paying officials to skip queues, access files and collect medication.

The department says it will investigate credible allegations and take action against officials involved in bribery. Patients are urged to report incidents through facility management, the department’s complaints channels or its 24-hour hotline.
