Public Service Commission chairperson professor Somadoda Fikeni has called for the reopening of schools for traditional leaders to improve governance and service delivery. He made the remarks after meeting AmaZulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini at eMashobeni Royal Palace in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
The PSC is engaging with kingships across the country and plans to compile a report for president Cyril Ramaphosa and traditional affairs minister Velenkosini Hlabisa on ways to support traditional leaders in their communities.
