JOHANNESBURG- Eskom is presenting its State of the System and Winter Outlook as it prepares for the 2026 winter season. The power utility says it is entering this period with its strongest operational performance in the past five years, signalling improved stability in electricity supply.
Although load-shedding has been avoided, Eskom has maintained load reduction in certain areas where illegal connections put pressure on the grid. This measure is aimed at protecting infrastructure and ensuring a more reliable supply during the high-demand winter months.
