The Protected Disclosures Bill is being used by the Justice, Crime Prevention and Security Cluster to strengthen consequence management and accountability within government. The legislation ensures that whistleblowers are protected from intimidation and economic harm, allowing them to safely report corruption and misconduct.
By providing secure reporting channels, the State is better able to investigate cases and enforce accountability outcomes. This improves the management of consequences for wrongdoing and supports efforts to build a more transparent and efficient government, aligned with the vision of “A Nation That Works”.
