EMFULENI- Executive Mayor of Emfuleni Local Municipality has announced the appointment of new Members of the Mayoral Committee (MMCs) as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery. The appointments were made in line with the Local Government: Municipal Structures Act and the Constitution of South Africa.
Cllr Sefatsa Sefatsa of the ANC was appointed as MMC for Agriculture, Local Economic Development, Planning and Tourism, while Cllr Lehohonolo Malindi of the EFF was appointed as MMC for Sports, Recreation, Culture, Arts, Library and Information Services, Parks and Cemeteries. The Mayor congratulated the newly appointed MMCs and thanked outgoing MMC Cllr Mahlase for his service and contribution to council work.
