A National Traffic Police officer arrested a driver in the Vaal Triangle after he was found with bags of dagga and attempted to bribe the officer with R10,000. The officer refused the bribe, and the suspect is now in custody facing charges for drug possession and bribery.

The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) warned motorists that offering bribes is a criminal offence and will not be tolerated. Drivers in Sedibeng and Fezile Dabi towns, including Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark, Sebokeng, Heidelberg, Sasolburg, Parys, and Kroonstad, are reminded that law enforcement acts with integrity and offenders will face arrest.
