LIMPOPO- ANC in Limpopo has successfully concluded its provincial elective conference, electing Dr Phophi Ramathuba as chairperson. Her appointment marks another milestone, as she becomes the first woman to lead the party in the province, adding to her historic role as Limpopo’s first female premier.
The conference proceeded despite an initial legal challenge from a disgruntled branch member, who sought to halt proceedings over concerns about the legitimacy of a digital delegate verification system. The court dismissed the application, allowing the conference to continue without further disruption.
