JOHANNESBURG – Children took to the streets of Johannesburg on Sunday as part of the Children’s Safety Walk, a campaign aimed at raising awareness about child abuse, violence, and statutory rape. The initiative gave young people an opportunity to speak out about issues affecting their safety and well-being.

The march started at Pieter Roos Park and ended at the Constitutional Court, where participants hoped to share their concerns directly with Mandisa Maya. Gauteng Social Development MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko joined the event, highlighting the importance of protecting children and ensuring their voices are heard in efforts to combat abuse and violence.
