GAUTENG – Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital says dialysis services have continued without interruption despite temporary shortages of medical supplies. The Gauteng Department of Health says no treatments were missed or postponed.
The shortages were linked to procurement delays affecting sodium bicarbonate and dialysis filters. The department has fast-tracked supplies and is improving procurement processes to prevent future disruptions.
