PRETORIA – Former National Police Commissioner Bheki Cele is expected to testify before the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Cases Inquiry on Tuesday.
The inquiry is investigating whether political interference hindered investigations and prosecutions of TRC-related cases. It will focus on the South African Police Service this week, following testimony that delays in delivering justice for apartheid-era victims were partly due to limited investigative capacity.
