MEXICO – Bafana Bafana ended their final warm-up match ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026 with a 1–1 draw against Jamaica in Pachuca, Mexico. The match was a late addition to their preparations after an earlier goalless draw with Nicaragua, leaving the team still searching for a win before the tournament begins.
Lyle Foster gave South Africa the lead in the first half after a goalkeeping error, but Jamaica levelled through Dwayne Atkinson following a defensive scramble. The result extends Bafana’s winless run to four matches as they now turn their attention to their World Cup opener against Mexico in Mexico City.
