Labour Minister, Thulas Nxesi, says mandatory policies will depend on risk assessments.
“The health and safety direction of the Department of Employment and Labour should be strengthened so that vaccinations can become mandatory where a risk assessment at the workplace requires this,” he said.
Several companies, including Discovery and Standard Bank have introduced mandatory vaccines for its employees.
