Build One South Africa (BOSA) leader Mmusi Maimane says informal traders should not be criminalised for selling goods on the roadside. Speaking at the party’s manifesto launch in Johannesburg, he said BOSA would support people who rely on informal trading to make a living.
Maimane said BOSA would simplify municipal processes, including permit applications, to help informal traders operate legally. He also promised to provide better spaces for traders if the party is elected in the upcoming Local Government Elections.
