BOKSBUR – The Gauteng Education Department says it is deeply concerned about an alleged attempted sexual assault involving learners at Villa Liza Secondary School in Boksburg. A Grade 8 girl was allegedly followed into the toilets by two boys, restrained and had some of her clothing removed.
The incident was reportedly interrupted by school general staff during cleaning duties, forcing the boys to flee. A criminal case has been opened, while the department says it will provide psychosocial support to the affected learner.
